Here is a rare look at the Legendary Coach “Pop” Warner who appeared in five Universal shorts in 1931. Born on April 5, 1871 in Springville, NY. He played pro football for the Syracuse Athletic Club in 1902.  Warner shows 1890s football equipment to his team and explains how it was used. This film is remarkable today for being a time capsule of both periods. Football and it's equipment have come a long way since this film was made.
